Martin welcomes you to Redwall Abbey!
Hello there, my friend! This is a website, one all about the Redwall series.
You don't know what that is? I'm offended! Just kidding. Well, here's a quick explanation. The Redwall series is written by a British author named Brian Jacques, and it is about a world of anthropomorphic animals (Mice, squirrels, otters, etc who have physical and mental characteristics of human beings) fighting the evils of their world to achieve peace and prosperty the center of which is living at REDWALL ABBEY. (takes a deep breath) Whew! That was a long sentence!
Da World Of Redwall (or DWOR, for short) is a fansite especially made for this more than unique book series. It has a lot of fun activities to do, things to cook (don't burn yourself) and- in the future that is- you can even take classes on aspects of Redwall life. (Ever wanted to chop Cluny or Badrang's head off? Come on down!) There's no forum, but I'm working on an RPG.
You must have a huge amount of staff to finish all those tasks, right? you ask. Well.. since the hares ate all the sustenance to feed the staff members, only I, Laterose, is left. That means updates will be kinda slow, and such a procrastinator am I, the site won't be completely finished until at least September or so. (Me: Please take pity on this poor soul and don't work her to death!!)
Redwall is not only for kids, but many adults as well read and enjoy it as well. (I have met some pretty old fans out there, and who doesn't want to hear little mice shout REDWALLL!! and charge into battle with a big shiny thing in their hand-er, paws? So, it would mean a lot to me if you at least tried these books. You never know, a MIRACLE might happen! Plus, we need a bigger Redwall Online Community (ROC), and who better to ask than the technological geeks (us) themselves (ourselves)? So, get reading, you!
Note: This site is SEVERELY under construction, meaning the layout and some content changes CONSTANTLY, somewhat like the favourite food of hares. Some sections might not be written fully, or not at all. Do not be alarmed if a part is deleted. However, you should be alarmed if your bed is on fire. Anyhow, please be patient and check back often for new updates!
